UQ OPEN DAY
Sunday 2nd August 2009 marked our first day our Wrist bands have ever being sold. We sold the Wrist bands during The University of Queensland (UQ) open day. UQ, an institution which educates above 40,000 students every year became an ideal venue to sell our charitable wrist bands.
Our initial projections reveal that we have exceeded our projections by large number. Unfortunately this came with a drawback, we were under prepared for such large volume of sales. On average we only projected of selling 20 units at $4 each and we sold above 22% of our stock, which is way above then the projected levels. Young Achievement Australia objective was to teach and lays a path for young entrepreneurs, and I am happy to say it served its purpose.
Our next step is to take actions from the experience that we gained on the first sale day. Just like a real life situation we have venues that are happen every week and venues that can only be used one-off. We always love challenges, and this challenges us to get more out of us to bring better outcomes to the company.
Below are few pictures of the first day, we will be looking forward to give your more good news like this. Thank you everyone
